What we did

Stage 23 worked closely with director Antaine Furlong on this sci-fi thriller to deliver over 400 VFX shots. From initial previs to final delivery, Christian and Jonathan were able to bring Antaine’s vision of a dark, near-future Shanghai to life. Photorealistic CGI placed characters in a vast building interior, and extended studio sets to reach the Shanghai city skyline. Christian oversaw the animation of tense elevator chase sequences culminating in tumultuous explosions and cascades of sparks and shrapnel. This film featured heavily designed FX sequences, CG environments, set extensions and both real and fantastic matte paintings.

Synopsis

A young environmentalist wakes, trapped, kidnapped in the elevator of a super high-rise building at the mercy of her tormentors.
