Position Overview
We are looking for a capable and diligent lead/senior animator to lead a team of 3-5 animators. Work will be on a photoreal creature in an underwater environment, for an international feature film. This will be on a short term contract, starting right away.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead, elevate and motivate a team of animators
• Refine and improve animation style based on director vision
• Develop animation practices and conventions for animators to improve workflow and productivity
• Creating expressive animations. Strong emphasis on realism and character.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• 3+ years of experience on past animated productions
• Critical eye for detail in animations and ability to clearly communicate ways of improving animations.
• Skilled in realistic creature animation
• Experience with the 3D animation pipeline and Maya software
• Shown ability to work within a team to create balanced solutions to various technical and aesthetic issues.
• A deep commitment to having ongoing, active, and efficient communication both within and outside of your department.
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Ability to work independently and quality assure your own work
• Consistently strong problem-solving skills, as well as the capability to work in a disciplined manner and to make timely, well-thought-out decisions.
